They were once tipped to be the biggest thing to hit Scottish pop since the Bay City Rollers. But after recording an album and releasing just two singles, White China fell out with their record company and split up. The five piece from Dunfermline bowed out with a last gig in 1986 and went on to find proper jobs, but in a small corner of Asia, their singles 1984's 'Real World' and 1985's 'Smiles and Jokes', have become classics, and are still played on the radio every day.
